Research Internship

About the role

DiMe is executing a pre-competitive evidence generation project, “Supporting aging in place of choice with connected health technologies.” This project will launch the first comprehensive, evidence-based blueprint for supporting older adults to age safely and independently at home through connected health solutions.

To drive the development of these evidence-based best practices, DiMe is seeking a Research Intern to support collaborative research efforts including a landscape review, surveys, and interviews. In 10 hours per week, you will earn $20/hour while contributing to the development of action-oriented industry resources with the potential to shape the future of AgeTech.

Responsibilities

The Research Intern will support the DiMe team by collaborating closely with the program lead and project manager. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Conducting a landscape analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for AgeTech solutions.
  • Participating in biweekly squad meetings with the program lead and project manager and monthly project team meetings to update on progress of the analysis.
  • Developing outputs that synthesize findings, such as policy and reimbursement recommendations, technology integration roadmaps, and real-world case studies.

The Research Intern should demonstrate the following:

  • Subject matter expertise: Understanding of scientific material, including published healthcare literature and federal policy documents.
  • Project management skills: Organizational and time-management skills to deliver work according to the project timeline.

The ideal candidate profile looks something like this:

The selected candidate will be considered a 1099 independent contractor on a temporary contract with DiMe. After the successful completion of the project, there may be an opportunity to extend the internship to support a new project. This will be dependent on performance and subject to availability based on the needs of the organization at that time.
