The Acute Hospital Care at Home (AHCAH) program, which has enabled Medicare-certified hospitals to deliver inpatient-level care at home, is set to expire in September 2025, threatening to halt progress on a care model that improves patient outcomes, reduces costs, and frees up hospital beds.
