Aging in Place of Choice with Connected Health Technologies

From AgeTech innovation to sustainable implementation

Moving AgeTech from innovation to sustainable implementation

Three in four adults aged 50+ want to age at home, and 7 in 10 are comfortable using technology to help them live independently. Yet many still face barriers related to affordability, access, and usability.

The challenge is not always the technology itself. It is often the disconnect between technology design and the day-to-day realities of older adults and their care partners, limited integration into care ecosystems, and business models that are not designed to support sustainable adoption.

Explore the lived experience behind the findings

Our mixed methods approach gathered perspectives from older adults and care partners across diverse geographic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds in the US between April to June 2026.

Go deeper into the perspectives of older adults and care partners through our Data Repository of Lived Experience. We synthesized interview and survey findings into cross-cutting themes that directly informed the AgeTech developer and healthcare provider Playbooks.

These resources can support further patient-centered research, product development, and technology design.
